Naughty Dog: "Senza Sony, The Last of Us e Uncharted non sarebbero mai esistiti"

Questi capolavori non avrebbero mai visto la luce, a quanto pare.

Naughty Dog è probabilmente uno degli studi più promettenti e attivi nell'offrire prodotti videoludici di grande qualità, non ultimi la serie Uncharted e il titolo cult The Last of Us, il cui sequel è stato annunciato all'inizio di questo mese, nel corso del PlayStation Experience. Tuttavia, in una recente intervista con IGN, il CEO dello studio, nonché "papà" di Crash Bandicoot, Jason Rubin, ha dichiarato che - nonostante lo studio sia oggi uno dei più ambiti dalle aziende produttrici di console - se non fosse stato per una partnership con Sony, serie come Uncharted o The Last of Us, non sarebbero mai esistite.

Rubin ha infatti dichiarato:"Sony è stata incredibilmente buona con Naughty Dog. Ma aveva senso. Il nostro rapporto con Sony era già interconnesso, magico e sorprendente [....]. E' stata la decisione giusta per Naughty Dog. Guarda dov'è Naughty Dog oggi. Da studio indipendente, non credo che Naughty Dog avrebbe potuto farlo. Non credo che avreste avuto questi giochi [Uncharted e The Last of Us]".

Senza dubbio la collaborazione tra le due compagnie è stata di vitale importanza, visto anche l'eccellente qualità dei titoli di Naughty Dog in questione.
