ESL Pro Tour Season 14 to be held online

The event will not be LAN due to "uncertainty surrounding COVID-related travel restrictions."

The ESL has made the decision to play Season 14 of the ESL Pro Tour online, rather than LAN, due to the "uncertainty surrounding COVID-related travel restrictions." The decision comes around three weeks before the start of the event, in a post that also mentioned, "the tournament will be played analogous to Season 13 with all 24 teams competing from their homes or boot camp locations within Europe."

The post has also stated that due to this uncertainty, the ESL is continuously evaluating the status of bringing its other major events to LAN, which includes IEM Fall 2021, set for September 28-October 1, and IEM Winter 2021, between December 2-12.

As for when the ESL Pro Tour Season 14 will begin, the start date is set for August 16.
